Once so Innocent and pure
a girl so strong
now stands so weak
broken from the inside out
she has so forgotten
the joys of what she was
she has been
betrayed by those she loves
and lost them all
she has no one to turn to
no where to go
she is over looked
by the ones who matter most
what was once a perfect little girl
now is a dark and broken heart
one searching for love and compassion
she no longer has trust in anyone
and wishes someone would see
that her heart is broken
its been laid to rest
by the sea of broken dreams
all she wants is one person
to hear her out
but no one will listen
one person to see
who and what the "real me" is
But nobody knows
or shows they could even care
maybe if they knew it all
maybe they could be
the reason this heart could be unbroken
though now it is but left in the dark
the truth behind this broken heart.

WOW this poem speaks to me its like some of my poems i write ! well good poem here i enjoyed it i loved the title as well grabs u in.wen i read all the peoples poems on here i try to picture an image to understnd wat this person was feeling to apprcitae the full extent of the poem and the image i had wen i was reading this was a girl that wanted people to see wats she feeling and that she was thinking she was missunderstood well done and keep writting hun u have a real talent 4 this i will look forward top reading some of yr material x
