Where there is love
there is fear.
Inescapable, tormenting.Fear of uncertainty.
Emotions try to conquer it, and fail. The result is a tear
in an uncertain existence.Uncertainty and emotions
bring new storms
that pour down tears
to the oceans of love. Here comes one now…
I catch it and examine it,
and find unanswered questions,
emotions, uncertainty, heartache,
and fear.
I toss it and it falls to the earth where it belongs.
I say good riddance.
It seeps in to the ground
and follows me home.

I really like this and thought you have must of been where I have been, but you know, most people probably can, but you have written it so eloquently. Outstanding!!!

thanks, Anna, may your day be filled with inspiration!

This is a very interesting write. So true, where there is love there are tears. Not always because people are disappointed in love, but also because they are touched by a happy occasion. At least that counts for me. Well done Wayne.
Anna.

...or are caught in cupped petals;
may any you shed be just as cherished and handled with such fragility... -
Well, between some, my sweet, the tears, however frightful, somehow end up as tears of joy...!

Tears can take us by surprise as they can be sometimes unexpected-
tears are but a way to... continue where mere words fail...

Thank you Mel... Ms. Love! You too have waxed beyond my feeble mind today!

This is beyond words - we want so little at times, placing hope, love and devotion in the palm of our hands until that brisk wind comes and sweeps it away. We try to bury a past that hurts us and in burying we never evolve and allow ourselves to remember the good, the bad and the ugly that way we can move forth. Love is precious, like an unfound rainbow that holds the key to happiness but it is something that many say too easily, not fully meaning. The key (I think) is accepting the past, knowing the present and hoping for the future.

Fear, uncertainty, confusion, insecurity... they all bring about tears. But when we are sure of a thing, we have faith, hope, confidence, security and desire to make it last, make it work and do whatever is within our power to maintain it. Love is a hopeful thing. True love. Real love. I'm not saying there is no pain or heartache, but if the fear, confusion, insecurities and uncertainties outweigh the faith, hope security and certainty... I would have to question if the love is real. Perhaps we just want it to be. Love says, I do, I can, I will. Anything else is not true love. That's just my personal opinion and the yardstick for which I use in my own life. Love turns impossibilities into possibilities. It moves us to DO and ACT. Love is an action as much as it is a feeling.

thanks, Wanda, there actually was a 'cleansing' line in there at one point! But the 'can't get rid of it' replaced it!

This is beautifuly sad. There is much to think about when love of any kind is involved. and with hurting hearts there is always fear,uncertainty.insecuritys. A tough thing to pass by, and tears are what make us think more about these emotions we sometimes cannot explain, I feel ya
always

'...I toss it and it falls to the earth where it belongs.
I say good riddance. It seeps in and follows me home.' A very curious piece, Wayne...Tears have their purpose, my Friend...They help cleanse our minds of things we cannot seem to voice...& they also nurture Growth...Yes, intellect will always prevail...so will Love...Be well, Poet...
