Sweet Little Judy

Sweet little Judy, lovely as she was,
Had no reason to live, this was the buzz;
Men would use her, for their own gain,
Her sin left her with a sickening pain.

She wanted love, to know she was wanted,
This desire remained, and remained undaunted;
She took drugs to stop her roaring heart,
She wanted to die, this life depart.

Sweet Judy Oldlife wanted to be free,
She wanted joy, this was her plea;
She wanted meaning for this old life,
Wanted to be free of her sinful strife.

She learned of Jesus, dying for her sin,
Learned that He wanted her, to let Him in;
She prayed for the promise, just to be free,
And she was given more than she could see.

"Sweet Judy Newlife, now that you're free,
Take up the joy that you found in Me;
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life,
Your foundation to hold you in the strife."

This was the Voice that came to her heart,
She learned of love, never to depart;
She found the purpose for her little life,
And found the strength to stand in strife.

Sweet Judy Newlife now is her name,
She praises the One most glorious Name;
And if you see her, you will see the life,
She has come to know, walking above the strife.

"Sweet Judy Newlife, now that you're free,
Take up the joy that you found in Me;
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life,
Your foundation to hold you in the strife."

    Hey, M0of!

    I think this one would make a good song for teenagers. Its message seems to be in their range of thoughts in the present world, although I know it could also be applied to college-age or older.

    Not too shabby, my friend!

    (P.S. I did read the Song of Solomon one- just haven't had the brain power to comment on it yet. )

    WONDERFUL POEM

    Wow this was a wonderful poem. I can relate to parts of it. I love these lines.

    This was the Voice that came to her heart,
    She learned of love, never to depart;
    She found the purpose for her little life,
    And found the strength to stand in strife.

    You have captured the soul of this lost girl so well. A very sad poem with a happy ending. Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem. God bless you, Sandy
