The Beautiful People

There's a time for change,
a time to become real,
a time to be renewed,
and a time to heal.

Each of us have our time
if we follow the wind.
If we don't follow the world
in all of it's sin.

We are the beautiful people,
the ones no longer in shame.
The ones following Jesus
who has power through His name.

We were made perfect,
no matter how we feel.
Each time we become greater
as you get down and kneel.

We know we're not perfect
in the sense of how we act.
But our beauty still stands
on a greater fact.

Made like our creator,
shining with the light.
The light of Christ,
who still shines in the night.

Our beauty is in our hearts
and the love that overflows.
The passion for our God
and our hopes to make it known.

We all are the beautiful people.
Look inside your own heart.
No matter what, we have an end,
no matter where we start.

The main thing
is that you see
you chose now
what is to be.

There's the path to see your beauty
that comes from creator of all things.
Or the path that ends with destruction,
by following the treasures of earth and it's kings.

Look deep inside yourself.
Let the beauty be known.
Make the world wonder.
Let the beauty be shown.

You were all made in God's image. We were all made perfect...

I agree with Bile...it is a bit musical. Still in agreement, I thought it had a kind meaning and i can see your heart was in it. It reminds me of a mudslide. The earth seems to be on this giant mudslide, and so much i want to jump in the way to try to stop it. I know if i do this though, i will get carried away with it. We just have to stand off to the side holding out our hands. if some see and reach out back, we can pull them safely from the mudslide. Your work seems to stress the few things that WILL rescue...light, life, and love. People only reach out for what they don't have, so be sure to shine.

    Alright

The first thing that came to mind was Marilyn Manson, of course.
Then I read the poem and saw it was all godloving.
Well now, I'm not a religious person, but it was still worded rather good. I must say that, in my opinion, rhyming makes things sound like children's songs.
However, I'm in a good mood and I agree that we're all beautiful people. Enjoyed reading it. A bit.

Beautifully done. Your message is simple and to the point, but jammed packed with meaning that is sooo important. You state your point in a way that is welcoming rather than exclusive. I can almost hear this poem in a bed of musical elegance. Such an enjoyable read for me first thing in the morning

Woohoo! Go Tonya! lol. I really liked this! The flow was good, it wasn't at all choppy, and I loved the rhyming. Poems that rhyme are my favorites, and this one is great, but I love all of your poems. Oh! I have something to tell you! But that will have to wait until a later time. In the meantime, keep up the awesome writing! Luv ya!
