Waiting, Wanting, Wishing, Listening

I wait in silence
listening for the promise of tomorrow
.....
to end this heartache



I wait in anticipation
wishing for some time to borrow
.....
so we can have one more day



I listen breathlessly
waiting to hear the sound of hope
.....
coming to rescue my heart



I listen hopefully
wanting someone to love me
.....
so im not alone




I wait tearfully
wanting just one man to walk back into my life
.....
so i can live again
