I honestly believe this is the first tanka I have ever read.it is a very beautiful piece.I will have to research this style as I see it is similar to Haiku, but longer.very well done sir.I look forward to reading more of your poetry in the future.

This is cute. I love the backgroung too. It looks like a painting and just adds to the effect of the whole thing. I used to be obsessed with writing tanka.

Haha! Lovely work, wonderful imagery and this background always has me beaming Wonderful comparisons of two different seasons here..so much of resonance in this. I wonder what that cricket's thinking of!
