Single Focus (Jesus)

An example of single focus is she.
That is truly how I desire to be.
Trials are not a distraction for her.
In the love of the Savior she is sure.

Her pure joy emanates from knowing Him,
Joy produced by hardship filled with grim
Drawing her ever closer to Jesus.
Who has been faithfully strong in weakness.

He has been her present help in her need.
With her, His love is free to intercede
For His love is all she truly desires.
There is not one more substance she requires.

She lives the apostle Paul’s crucial creed.
This is her single aim, her greatest need:
To know Jesus Christ and Him crucified
Forever in His pure love to abide.

Author notes

This is what I see in a friend of mine. She is an example of how I desire to be.

Beautifully done, yet again. A little convicting for myself. I've been getting very distracted by the trials in my life, not at all depending on the love of Christ. Wonderfully done. And once again perfect timing.
