Not Goodbye

In just sixteen years
you have reached the end,
but not to everything,
only to this body's lifespan.

One day we will see you
on the other side.
You'll be dancing
on the streets of gold.

No more tears, or sorrow.
No more trials, or pain.
No more stormy days,
and no more heartache.

You're in the place
we all dream to be.
And as sad as it is
we'll just have to wait.

We'll see that beautiful smile
another time, another day.
We'll hear your laugh
and get to hug you once again.

No, this is not a time
to figure out how to say goodbye,
because one day we'll be with you,
so this is just a see you later.

Hey tonya, you did an awesome job on this poem. I loved it. It's such a nice dedication for Lindsey. It's weird because I didn't even know her, but it still effects me. I guess because my mom and a few other of my family members knew her and they were so upset about it, so I'll always remember what happened to her. Anyways, keep up the awesome writing! I love you!
