~ Give to me the truth

Softly, as though a
summers breeze were,
playing tag
with the tree leaves

I go along with
your idea, like
a small animal
I was your creation, Mike

And though my
trust you had
even before day one
was yours dad

you found a
way to suck up
my naive world,
an empty cup

I look to you
still, only to see
exactly what this
world can offer me

Now I have the
power, to make
it good or bad
we can't all be fake

You pulled it
off, and you're not
the only one
but you were caught

I'm a woman
now, doing my
very best to
turn your lie
into truth

Author notes

well, we all know my fathers a real douche.. and I guess I haven't really over come it yet. I can tell people that I do, and for the most part.. I guess I am.. but with everybody who gets fucked over by somebody they trust.. that pain will never go away.
