Another Fine Day (Huitain):
Beauty as far as you can see.
As I look, it feels like a dream;
wind in my hair, I feel so free.
Nature surrounds me, reigns supreme.
In the distance I see a stream.
Twilight now begins to descend,
dew on the leaves begins to gleam.
A fine day is about to end.
Author notes
Huitain:
A Spanish poetry form, it resolves around the number 8 - there are 8 lines to the poem, with 8 syllables per line. The rhyming scheme is ABABBCBC.
