LOVE OF AN ANGEL
She wanders silently in heaven
Waiting for the love she left on earth
Her heart longing to be there once more
The pain of loneliness fills her thoughts
Called home by her Almighty creator
This angel earned her wings in life
The one she loved never belonged to her
Always separated by distance between
They shared a loving friendship forever
She waits for him with her heart in hand
As a tear falls from her eye for his love
Happiness had eluded them for so long
He had danced with her so tentatively
As their hearts started beating as one
But the love they felt could not be
He was not free, her heart was broken
So she wanders and watches and waits
Will today be the day she will smile at him
To finally take his hand and walk with him
A walk through eternity with her dear friend
