Blind and Toothless

We're blind and toothless
Look at what they've done to us

These scars down our faces
With heart cracked and hardened
With tears that no longer sting
And eyes carved out hollow

They screamed and they spit
And they knocked us down
Look at the hollow sound I made

Fill me with empty words
Fill me with empty feelings
Tell me I can fix myself

Look at what they've done to us

Do you really think hitting back will help?

Look at us now
Look what they've done to us
Look what we've done to ourselves

We're all blind and toothless
Look at what they've done to us

We're all blind
And we're all toothless
Leaving the world
In worst condition than we found it

(Now how's that for a happy ending?)

Author notes

Hmmm....I'd have to say the rythem might be a bit off, but it's all in my head, and everything in my head is correct. So...boyah.

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, leaves the world blind and toothless. ~Gandhi
