Farewell to the Night

After all the burned and fright
When the sun gone down in red
And moon begins to shine
And the stars are blazing above my head
The tears begin to roll and stream
Reflected by the brighter beams
I wave my hand about my face
I cannot see in this darkened place
This is the farewell to my dreams

And when the clouds are darkened over
And the rain begins to devour
All above me, light and sound
Crashing waves and thunder break
Lightning flashed upon the lowly lake
And when I cannot hide my fear
This is the farewell to my tears

When the candle burns so dimly
Faces haunt me ghost and grimly
I look into the blackened mirror
The reflection of my only fear
And when my pen and crumpled paper
Begin to fade in darkened gloom
Discarded from my sight
This is the farewell to the Night

wow, I'm in awe with the sheer rhyme. Aside from the rhyme, I'm impressed with the proper ending, with the proper everything, this just worked.
