At long last the time is almost here
Now I’ve only got four more days to
Go before I fly out of Sydney Australia
Everything is almost packed ready
Look out all you New Zealanders here
I come, Joan is finally on her way!
Can’t wait to meet Edna and Hugh
A lot of good times we’ll be having.
I am looking forward to my trip so much! to
See the ducklings and their parents, whoopee!
Friday at twelve noon Sydney time I will be
Leaving all my cares behind me for 10 days.
Yippee! I have never flown overseas before
I’ve been by ship to Noumea back in 1961, but
Now I’ll see Hugh’s beautiful gardens they love
Godszone is what Hugh calls his beautiful country.
Oh boy, I reckon he’s right from what I’ve seen!
Until I return I won’t be on Allpoetry or the PC
To all my friends I’ll see you when I return.

On Friday October 14th I will be flying to New Zealand to visit Hugh and Edna Wyles, I'll be back on Monday October 24th..So after Thursday night I won't be on AP, but up until then I'll be here.

Yay! It's almost time for the big departure
Joan, I am so happy to see you go on this trip and I just KNOW you are going to have a fabulous time with Hugh and Edna! I can't wait to hear all about it. Over six months ago you suggested coming
Never imagining it would really happen.
Lacking no faith in our affirmations.
Yet the weeks and months have flown.
First visit to New Zealand for you
Only your second trip away from Australia.
Understandable excitement and elation.
Realisation of a mutual dream.
Departing from Sydney next Friday,
Airborne for less than three hours.
You arrive at 17.55 in Christchurch
Straight from the Airport to our home.
Ten days of happiness with Edna and me.
One too brief time never to be forgotten.
God grant you safe arrival and happy days.

Wow! This poem is very exciting and full of enthusiasm! It is always wonderful to be on holidays and I want to have one again! And most of all you are visiting your friends and I heard New Zealand is such a very, very country!
