Beautiful

You've reduced me
To this, to poetry,
To limmricks in my head.
To describe you, all I can do
Is stress the stress
You place on my heart.
It's bursting inside me with every word you say.
You sing and I'm swooning
Your voice is the voice of
Mountains and planets and valley gorges.
You stretch my soul from my very being
And you snap it back.
There's a fire burning in my chest
And you've lit it with your eyes.
If you were to touch me
The heat would melt my skin
But never have I considered masochism so closely.
A touch of knees, a hug that rocks back and forth
Your face is the epitome for me.
You make me explode with laughter
Explosions in the sky,
You make me ask myself who am I
And wonder about what I never have.
You make me feel beautiful
Complete, incomplete.
You burn inside my throat
And you weaken my knees.
You're beauty in its purest form.
Your imperfections make you so damn perfect.
I don't want to let go,
I can't stop listening
Even when my chest is caving in
From the weight, the emptiness.
You redefine me, by the definition of yourself.
You kill me and you raise me from the dead.
Is this love, or obsession, or my fall?
What I wouldn't give to understand you,
Feel you like I never could,
To finally grasp the unreachable fringes of you.
But what I wouldn't give to keep this unfamiliarity,
This intrigue of never knowing,
Of not quite understanding.
Your taste could never go stale,
But I want to consume you so entirely.
And exhale you through my laughter,
And pour you out through my tears.
"You're a star and
I'm so far from where you are."
