to you, the girl with everything.
what is there for a normal guy,
a person with the average life,
the average car,
the average looks.
what is there for me,
a student with no money,
an addiction,
and a hidden demeanor
to give you, the girl with it all.
you walk through the doors, and eyes turn.
heads follow your confident walk,
the flick of your shiny hair,
as you take your seat next to the older,
more attractive,
and by all means, richer, upperclassman.
but then, i remember.
a day what seems years ago,
looking through your eyes,
a gentle kiss, that lifted my thoughts.
since then, from that day,
you showed me that i don't always need to have it all.
because for that brief moment,
i did.
