Celebrate October Fall Fairs

October vivid harvest colors abound,
orange of the pumpkins somewhat round.
Gourds of green,yellow,weird oblong,
haystacks banded stand tall and strong.

Apples and walnuts carmeled delights,
berries and fruits in preserves spiced.
Leaves profusion colors fall and spread,
bulbs sleeping deep in brown dirt flowerbeds.

Scents of October travel on cool brisk winds,
natures time to show on warmth it depends.
Warm afternoons turn into cold frosty nights,
Birds flying south on swift breeze in flight.

Indian summer draws to a wet cool blustery end,
celebrations of of Autumn from hot days mend.
Harvest cornucopia and everything in between,
speaks of summer's death entices a Halloween.

Ghouls, goblins and witches will knock on the door,
for candy and treats or they will even the score.

Thank you ecrivain01.Or Jim,if I might.I had to look it's meaning up to see if it meant something revelent before adding it.It did,yet I wasn't entirely happy with it either.I've replaced it with "in flight".That seems to work as well.

    good job

Again, there's one rhyme word that bothers me: respite. It doesn't sound right to me there. Otherwise, this is very good. I am fond of October, actually. I have always liked Autumn and Spring far better than Winter and Summer -- possibly because they aren't so extreme in temperature. Anyway, good job.
