Get Thee Out in the World!

Oh, my darkest of angels
Get thee out in the world
and capture your man
let your love flag unfurl!
for the nice ones are waiting
waiting for YOU
and your extended hand
so don't sit there so blue!

Yes, sad as it is
the girl must first move
in the case of these guys
the first move is on you!

So bear your fangs
spread your wings
fly into the night
among those dismal beings
just waiting for an angel
and to hear her heart sing!

Cheer up!
for even the darkest of  times
are bright
if you know what path to climb...
Get thee out! young angel
pass through the black gate
you’ve shut yourself into,
it’s never too late!

See what you have
to offer us men?
Treasure it always
it’s yours to defend
and defend it you must
when you’re out in the night
seeking true love-
you must give it a fight!

You may come here for guidance
and a helping hand
but it’s up to you, my darkest of angels,
to find your one man!

You have certainly passed on some wonderful words of wisdom to our sweet ytoung friend here. She is such an awesome young woman and I am sure there is someone very special and worthy just waiting to be discovered by her and enrapted in her charms. You have offered great words of encouragement and wisdom my son. Good luck in the contest!

thanks, lavender, for the comment, it made me improve it! and to hear you sing it with a flute accompaniment would be splendid! (oh yes, 'refrain' is used in English, too!)

...strange. Honestly, as soon as I started reading it, it didn't seem right. From the first line, to me, this was a song that must be sung. And so I did! The flow was beautiful, and the words were really encouraging. You spoke so much truth in this write, sometimes it is up to us girls, whether we want to make the first move or not. Great job on this!

Best of luck in her contest as well!

Aww that was wonderful and so encouraging. You are a good father and having read both Vampiress's and Lavender's work - you are a wonderful influence. Each girl has an amazing ability! Wonderful pep talk!
