He Carried Me

You were driven to the cross,
nails in your hands,
you lived your life,
purer than any man

And you walked on water,
and healed the wounded,
you gave people back their lives,
back away from the demons

Show me the way, (the way)
and give me (strength),
because I need you now,
more than I ever have

You know me better,
than anyone ever has,
you see all my flaws,
but love me nonetheless

All my fears,
have gone away,
now that I know you're here,
every second of the day

You gave me the secret,
to eternal life,
I wonder what that man thought,
when he looked into your eyes,
and lifted those cold timbers up,
I wonder what he thought

Show me the way, (the way)
and give me (strength),
because I need you now,
more than I ever have

You know me better,
than anyone ever has,
you see all my flaws,
but love me nonetheless

All my life,
you carried me,
I just now realized it

Author notes

This poem is open for interpretation, but my chosen subject of this was that Jesus is always there for me, no matter what.
