life force
~Have you ever sipped from the fountain of inspiration?~
Oh wand’ring muse who’s in need of release
Come hither, I need to speak with you please.
Part the veil of doubt and delve deep within,
you’ll find my source is as old as the wind.
Inspiration awaits thirsty taste buds,
with quicksilver flow, deliciously light--
Drink, drink your fill and rest here for a while,
dream; dream away on the crescent of night.
Relax in your mind. Feel the pull to explore?
Enlightenment knocks at the door with allure.
Cast them wide open, seek as you travel,
given some time your thoughts will unravel
’Pon glistening shores or mountain peaks high,
visit with faeries and sing their sweet tune--
Catch a breath-taking glimpse of a sparkling sky,
rope the tail of a comet; fall in love with the moon.
Spy nature’s trails; find mysterious runes,
speak cantations aloud atop quivering dunes.
There’s more to a rainbow than mere pots of gold,
passed the dawn of all ages new stories unfold!
If you’re up to the challenge of destiny’s song
take a peek in your tightly closed memory book--
Pull them out one by one, look hard and long,
feel emotions erupt from each moment partook.
Through fantasies born and true life enhancements
place pen in your hand, take some new chances.
You’ve only to sip from the fountain and dream--
It’s not really as hard as it often would seem.
Put worries behind you, you’ll never go wrong
just jot it all down in heat of the throng--
For if only one verse will touch one single soul
count your blessings in life, your mind met a goal.

Wow, I can definately tell you spent a valid amount of time and effort in creating this piece. That says a lot about the type of person you are!
I love how it is so pleasing to the ear and how wisdom rings from deep within.

Ah, I absolutely adore that exerpt! I personally tend to keep my memory book closed especially tight for fear of facing the vast array pain and mistakes of my past that accompany my few truly good memories. That's pretty sad considering I'm only 16, but true nonetheless. Thanks so much for entering this contest. I promise to have it judged by tomorrow night!!

Awesome!
I have happened on a spring this morning that runs with the crystalline water of spirit's renewal, first when I saw the mini-film then as I wrote my heart of it, then as I take a kaleidescopic glimpse into the hearts of my fellow's quenching... having drank from that same spring. This inspired by a sixteen year old girl whose old soul was ringside to the wonders of the ages it would seem, for the manner in which she has inspired each of us to dream...and then to sing of it. Somehow she turned on the beauty valve in our thoughts and voices and pens. You have been my travel host on a magical journey on this transport of words my friend! This is Golden! -
