You told me to be more open
To let people see who I am
As opposed to who they want me to be
But what if opening up
To everyone
Meant getting hurt like so many times before?
What if it meant
Being brought to tears
Because of
The social suicide
I seem to have commited
Time and time again
It isn't any better
When I was in a shell
And you were the only one
Who even partially knew me
Knew me for me
And actually cared
All this hurt
This socila suicide
Wasn't caused by your want of my openess
It was caused by me
The social crime I've committed
By showing who I really am

i thought this was heartfelt sincere and a real reflection of how a lot of people feel-sometimes being true to yourself is what gets you outcast by a group-most people wear masks of somesort to get thru life-whatever we might like to believe.just remember-everyone is wearing a mask-it takes courage to be yourself in todays society.be strong and smile

i feel like opening up wouldn't be social suicide... keeping yourself to you would be social suicide... you are cutting yourself off from social... you want social suicide... you keep yourself quiet or just say really stupid things that are meant to be mean... social suicide is cutting yourself off... and i have tried to throw you the rope...(METAPHOR!!!)... come crawling back to me and i will bring myself to my knees so you don't have to stand...i'm willing to get ...dirty... mwahahaha... i am so stupid... and i used 1/2 metaphors wrongly
