Lost In Space

Missing image
I kept waiting for a message
from the man I loved a lot
I kept typing little love notes
blank emails are all I got

Now he says he loves me
I am all his heart desired
but to fall in love with me
a computer was required

I keep getting blank emails
the words lost in cyber space
I took this computer apart
they were gone without a trace

Then I really started thinking
this guy must be full of crap
he's lieing through his teeth
with the computer on his lap

Now I have his blank emails
sent directly to the deleted file
I told him we were through
but he still sits there in denial

Now he blames the computer
for breaking his heart in two
for erasing all his loving words
that told me "I love you"

So if you get a blank email
someday when you're on line
just click reply and send
those loving words were mine

    fantastic, funny and well written.

Great work sandy but I wish I culd get some blank emails instead of the insults just because I have been fighting the cheats and Vultures.
I loved the way this flowed and the bright and breezy nonchalant way it sends your message.

Funny, funny, funny.... I like the way you describe taking the computer apart. Reminds me of talking about throwing data that's been filtered on the floor or the "bit bucket". Of course, someone has to sweep all those bits into the recycling container.

Hi Sis, This is very clever. I've always said that email love affairs can be very dicey. I prefer the face to face kind....with real hugs and kisses. Besides...it's not so easy to lie when you are looking into each other's eyes. Great poem. Loved the picture...I know the feeling. Linny

    Grand job!

Cute, and very funny! This was well-written and flowed, with no sense of the words being forced. A very natural and spontaneous kind of feel to this.

I would bet many people would relat to it. That's why it's so funny!

This is a great poem. I love the idea behind it. Blank e-mails what a neat way to say what happens to people when they can only say they love you over a computor. Thanks for sharing xo

Very cute Sandy - working in the biz of desktop support, I have seen many attempts at destroying that computer, trying to get the bits of words out of them. One funny one was a message that was going around where the person changed the color of the font to white and so it looked like it was a blank email until you selected all and, why lookie there - the words were there afterall. thanks and keep sharing!

Humor is right, for all of us who send e-mails that never arrive or are lost in cyberspace, this is so true. Loved it. easy to read and understand, flows nicely - well done.
