i never looked around or really went out of my way
to find these few people that now stick by me
through thick and thin they help me through
through tears and laughter they walk by me
have i ever done something really good
to deserve such friends, even though they are few
they equal a hundred thousand each
yet are so humble and planted down on their feet
what did i ever do to deserve such love?
am i giving back as good as i am getting?
does it really matter to them whether i do or not?
am i taking these angels for granted?
i never believed my mom's story as a kid
about the seven angels assigned to protect me
but today i cant smirk and say that story is bull
cause i can actually call out these seven angels by name
and when i sit back and think of them
i cant help but wonder how
a really selfish and brashful me
ever got to make such friends like these
so every night when i lay to slumber
i peacefully stretch and ponder
this question that i have meant to answer
am i lucky?

we are always blessed when we have many friends that care deeply for us and look out for our wellbeing in every way. To have their guidance and supportive blessings within our hearts makes all the diffference in our hearts and our hopes for better tomorrows.When your Mom said you are guided by special angels it was obviously she knew before you had.
