this is how it feels

Cracked streetlights shudder intermittently
as I slosh through the blood on this sidewalk
struggling to chase the shadowed figure
who robbed me of my hopes and dreams
I let out a feral scream my anguish scarring the night
yet to no effect, he continues in his lope
and I, I can only trudge behind him

as only a true prick can manage he turns
every so often to remind me that my love
still rests in the palms of his hands
and I am powerless, weak, and  damned
this is the way it feels chasing you
when all I can see is his hands on you
this is what I see when I watch him
desecrate the object of my adoration...

    ^ Agreed.

So who dumped you? XD I'm kidding, kidding. So I assume this poem is about a girl whom you adore, but is in the arms of another? I've had that happen before. It's an awful feeling. But as long as it's what they want, and as long as they're not hurt, then it's their happiness that you must put above your own. THAT is what love is. Not that you don't already know, I just felt like leaving a really long comment. Great write, vehement.
