No More Sea (Rondelet)

~~~
There's no more sea-
The wisdom of our God is high.
There's no more sea
In Heaven, which He made for me.
He'll wipe the teardrops from each eye;
No hurricanes will touch its sky-
There's no more sea.
Author notes
If you read this poem, please understand that I'm not trying to be insensitive to the victimized families of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita- far from it!
Yesterday I had the privilege of hearing a young evangelist speak on the subject of Heaven.  Now, I already knew quite a bit about what the Bible says about Heaven.  But as he was going through some of the things that will NOT be present there, he highlighted this little phrase: "... and there was no more sea."
He went on to talk about the fact that the seas seperate literally millions of peoples and families from one another, and that, in the beginning, they didn't do that.  (Biblically, before "the days of Peleg," the earth (land) was originally in one piece.  There are only about two or three verses that I know of that speak on this.)
I began to think about the hurricanes and the damaged they've caused, and how they, too, have seperated families, but in this case it was for eternity (possibly).
To these families, I think it would be a relief to know that, in Heaven, there is "no more sea" to seperate them from their loved ones... this, added to the many other wonders that are there!
I can't wait to see it!
    Another great job with this formal type of write. I have a pastor that is a surfer, and he admits being troubled by this particular promise. When he was a young believer he would sit on the beach having his quiet time, and then running off to surf.
    But he waits for the consummation of all things, through Jesus!
    Thanks!
