Savior

The night was cold, and all around the ice blew, causing Amarante's chest to heave as she tried to remain concious in the cold air. She felt her body going numb, the skin turning blue around her lips, feet and hands. She couldn't move anymore, not without severe pain, and she knew that with each blink of her eye, she was dying.

"How do you feel now, Amarante?" She heard a voice say. Her father stood in front of her, his lips curled upwards in a smirk. A lone tear fell down on her cheek, freezing instantly to her cold skin.
"Ahhh, I see, you don't feel do you. And to think, all you had to do was except Agustus's proposal. But look at you, you're just a filthy whore, in a filthy cell where you belong. Pity, you were so beautiful." Acacius let out a mocking laugh, and more tears fell from Amarante's eyes.
"Yes, you know then, that you are to die tomorrow, in case the storm doesn't kill you."
"F-f-f-father," She choked out, her voice shaking from weakness. His smile started to fall. "H-h-h-how c-could y-you?" Acacius smirked and turned away as if he hadn't heard her.
"Truthfully, Amarante, I find it quite shameful how you don't even cover yourself." And with that, he walked away, leaving his middle child to her tearful realization.

This is it, Amarante thought as the clock struck twelve. I am dying. She was laying on her back, all feeling gone from her except her pain, and then she heard a sound that warmed her freezing blood.
"Amarante, do not give in now. I may not be an angel, but I have my own redemptions."
'Marius,' She cried in her mind, her eyes being frozen shut so she could not see him, but she felt she was being lifted away from her horrible prison.

"LET ME GO, FATHER!!!!" Adrian screamed out, pulling with all his force against the chains that held him to his bed. He felt the metal digging into his wrist, but he didn't care. He pushed up against his mattress, trying to pull hiself free, when he saw his mother rush in.
"Hurry Adrian, we can waste no time." She said as she unlocked the shingles that held him down. He jumped to his feet.
"Mother, we have got to save Amarante, the cold will-" Then he noticed something about his mother, something different.
"Mother, your skin,"
"There will be time for explainations later, but now we must hurry to save Amarante and Amy." As they ran out into the hall, Adrian didn't notice the beautiful boy that seemed to float along side them.
"But mother, where is father?" Adrian asked as he threw on a jacket. Then, the doors were thrown open and the coldness of the wind blew the candles out as Acacius and 3 other big men stood in the doorway.
"Surprise, Adelaide. Not expecting company?"
