Mr. Wednesday IV

‘Today,’ he said,
‘I will affect small change.
She won’t even
(will she? if she does?) notice’

Elsewhere there is a girl as young as you are now.
There is no mirror where she is.

‘What will I do to surprise her  (what if she knows?
and what if she guesses?)   ?’
He picks up a jar filled with teeth and it jangles as he shakes it.

Elsewhere there is a girl as young as you are now.
She doesn’t speak unless spoken to.
And that         ‘s
                              worse.

(quietly.  it must be done quietly.)
Chant sing-song twitter away and
clap your hands.
                 (and perhaps... ?)

I am in love with your series. I am in awe of your talent. Shocking, but not suprising.
We should have a sleep over soon, seeing as I do miss you.

No fair! No fair! Intrigue was one thing, but we've been dangling on this string for sooooo long, and now instead of clarity we get enigma and yet more intrigue. Is he planning on a new captive.... what is the significance of the 'jar full of teeth' ... who is this girl who doesn't speak .. and why...????

I guess this is what makes the Wednesday series so compulsive.... but it still ain't fair!!
