My Future,My India

Hailing from the glorious past,
My Nation is so vast,
Scaling unreached heights;
Demanding the spotlights.

Making undeniable marks,
And bouncing back from failure like drowning corks;
The largest democracy she is,
With all blessings of His.

I want to rise beyond the skies,
And make realise its not that high;
Everywhere spreading smiles,
Even where there is only frowns for miles.

Proclaiming my country is the best,
And proving it to all the rest,
I will become the best pathologist,
And fulfill my nation's thirst.

Redrawing the boundaries of success,
In style with none a fuss;
She gives you endless opportunities,
Where else do you find a nation so.

The friendliest nation is here,
Full of colours that reduces the others to a mere,
I want to make my nation proud,
For giving life to me so profound.

I want to retain all glory,
That was ever won by ladies in the sari.

Now I swear-
My country is the best for sure,

Then,Now and forever more!

    Nice celebration of your country. India's history and culture is very rich. I'd love to visit there someday. I have some problems with the caste system, arranged/forced marriages, rampant leprecy, etc., but all great empires have their problems, I suppose. America (where I live) sure does. (Homelessness, racism, corporate greed, political corruption, etc.) I guess we always have to take the good with the bad, and decide which we're going to focus on.

    Nice work.

    Excellent

    Oh P, I once felt this way about my country. It feels good to feel such patrotism. I have become more disillusioned with time and the acts of our government or inaction of the supposedly strongest country in the world to deal with major human rights issues all over the world including within our own country. Good luck in the contest!
