I've just met you, and I read your poetry,
but I read on your page of your tragedy.
Yet you fight on and banish your misery,
and share with us your feelings in jeopardy.

I think this is a great short write, and definitely encapsulates this woman, based on what I have read on her poet's page. See, you're pretty sneaky -- saying that you wrote this inspired by Laura's page. Now everyone who reads this piece is going to go to her page and possibly read some of her work!

Thank you, eternalpoet. No, I don't know Laura well, I just read and commented on some of her poetry, then to my surprise I suddenly got invited to this contest! I read over her AP-page, and with what it said, plus what her poems said, I tried to summarize it up in the four lines, rhyme and rythm, that were requirements for the contest... Awwww! Caught your edit of your comment. Sometimes you forget, that's just how the brain works. I can't imagine loosing Monica either, seperated or not, she's still my wife. I would be devestaded, and nothing would be able to stop my tears. I start crying just thinking of it!

Jim, Such hearfelt words in this short but excellent write for Laura. I haven't had the pleasure of visiting her homepage, I will have to stop by as I have read and commented on a few of her works. You always show your feelings in your work and that makes people feel good, not only about the write but you as well. This was very special, best wishes in the contest bro and sunny day to you. Joyce
P.S. I stand corrected Jim. I don't know how I forgot that I had been to her page. Yes she has gone through too much. I can't imagine losing my husband, soulmate, and best friend in this world.
She is one outstanding woman and is on my favorites list as well.
