What's for Dinner? I'm Hungry...

I'd like to know what YOU are making/having for dinner!
Just put it in the mouth-watering comments section below... yummy!
even if it's Taco Bell...

I'm just looking for an edible comments section...

Post Note:
Thank you all very greatly for your fine entrees!
There are dishes spanning the globe-
from Italy to South Africa to Morroco
to the Netherlands to Canada,
from New Jersey to California
and all across the Great States,
even a Peruvian dish in Norway! Yum!

Now if I time my flights just right...
I can catch you all tomorrow!

I'm especially looking forward to that beef chimmychanga TV dinner
in Arkansas!

Author notes

Me? I have my Mr. Mom hat on
and apron tied securely
and I am roaming the kitchen
with my spatula and butcher knife... it's steak today!
Side dish? What, I'm a guy, I don't think of that!
OK, Hmmm, let's see, no potatoes for mashing,
maybe parmesan rice (Uncle Ben's!)
and some kind of veggie (frozen peas!)...
What? Dessert, too!
OK, I have some apple crisp here (Banquet brand!)...
so much for my cooking from scratch!

This was quite a yummy write and one which has made me feel quite hungry indeed. Quite an old write of yours but just as good as todays ones. You have so many poems for me to read that I have to start at the top and add them to my favourites in IE and read through slowly. I like how you did this very much. My favourite dish is lamb shanks cooked ever so slowly that the meat falls from the bones and the marrow seeps through the juices, topped with roast spuds, carrots and baby peas, with peppered cabbage...and a home made gravy. Followed with jelly whip topped with whipped cream. Damn! Now I'm starving!

Gingerbread milkshake? That I have never heard of, but then again, we are a little bit strange down here. I can just see you breaking one up and tossing him into the milk and whipping him crazy! lol!!!!!!!!!

How bout since my dinner was so very boring I simply tell you what my favorite thing to eat is?

Doves...simmered ever so slowly in butter, saltpork and wine. Add to that a pile of mushrooms and pour all that over
polenta Sigh... now I'm hungry. LOL

This is funny... my supper was really boring today. I had some sort of twirly pasta and alfredo sauce, sprinkled with romano cheese. But, as I said, pretty boring.

So, I'll say what I had for lunch because it's more interesting! I had nacho-flavoured corn chips dipped in a sour cream/salsa/grated cheese dip. I also had a Granny Smith apple and two Oreo mint/vanilla cookies.

Like I said, much more interesting!

As my possible future AP hubby, I'm sorry to say that the cook has left the building today. I had a chrispy grilled chicken salad from McDonald's so sad to say, even sadder, my daughter had a double cheesburger and fries.

The fine lady who runs this house is a vegatarian though and when she comes home from work, she usually makes some wonderful vegatarian food. Do you mind sharing your dinner with me?

How about some linguini, home made noodles and freshly grown herbs and spices, topped with my own marinara sauce made from the fruits of my garden, freshly shredded romano cheese, With a side of romaine and iceburg lettuce, oils mist lightly over, chopped up tomatoes so red and juicy, Lets not forget the most important part, a glass of Vermouth wine. For dessert, a little lemon Ice to clear the pallet, then a rich chocolate mousse. Welcome to my table where there is always plenty to go around!

    For dinner? *starts to drool*
I'm having fried fish nuggets, freshly made by my mother. Both sides are grilled just right, the golden crisp makes a nice crunch in your mouth. sprinkled on top is a kind of barbecue sauce that is sweet and sour and it is mixed with small bits of walnuts, to enhance the crunchiness of the fish.
mmmm...i'm soo hungry now after describing what I'm going to have for dinner. dinner should come sooner!!!

    Nice one

Cute and funny. It must be tough being a guy and living alone, and not wanting to bother with veggies. I make my husband eat them, but tonight, sadly, I must admit, we had burgers and chips and the only green was sliced lettuce in the burger. I suppose that's better than nothing. I am tempted to write more about my cooking pleasure now that I have read your verses. They are simple but enlightening, letting us have a peep into your life, and that's surely what poetry is all about, isn't it?
