If You Want Me To

A troubled heart is deep in prayer
The body kneeling by the chair
She's pleading with her Savior dear
"God, what am I doing here?"
The tears roll down her blushing cheeks
Never has she felt so weak
When just before her all went still
And God revealed His precious will
"Walk through the valley, Daughter fair
Wait at the end, I'll meet you there.
It will be hard, that much is true
But know that I will not leave you."
Opening her eyes again
She saw that it began to rain
"Why would God leave me to die?"
Still on her knees, continued to cry
Stubborn as she was, God smiled
He knew that she would walk the mile
He broke her heart to make her strong
The result should come before too long
In His love, He sent the test
He knew it would bring out her best
"Look in my Book," He said to her
"I wrote your answer in My Word"
She opened her Bible, 2 Corinthians Chapter 4
Verse 8 and verse 9, not sad anymore
She would do anything for her Love so True
"I will go through the valley, if You want me to."
