Lord Have Mercy

Missing image
LORD HAVE MERCY

Where art though Father
My eyes so weep with worry
I have forgotten my righteousness
As I sit here head in hand

I can not speak your name Lord
For my tears convey my unworthiness
Return to release me from my self afflictions
Brought to bear on my soul by my own doing

Deliver me Lord show mercy for my evilness
That I may be whole  again in your eyes again
My eyes now weep for the sins in my heart
They search endlessly for your mercy

I feel the cold of my enemies hostilities
Crying, calling out for forgiveness
Without neither the will or strength
Searching beyond my grief I call to You

Will there be forgiveness in your kindness
Lord my hour of weakness  is upon me
I fear death comes without your praise
Come Lord come in my hour of need

Author notes

Psa 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Psa 6:6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.

Psa 6:7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.

Nicely done Sandy. It's interesting to see all those different interpretations of the Psalm verses. You did very well. Anna.

We all fall short of the glory of God, Hey Mom, don't worry, it's not how far you fall, It's how quick you get back on the right path. God bless you, and rember that Guild is a firery arrow from Satan, Guilt is not of God, Conviction edifys you and lifts you up, Guilt destroys you and smashes you down, we learn from our convictions, not guilt. SHo he don't be ashames, and Know that God loves you so much.
