Cotton-candy
Pink pretty clouds,
Softly sailing
Veils bringing news,
Vowing nightly changing autumn hues.
Leaves spinning down,
Dark red brown, their
Lush gown in sway
All-array; fair
Display, mixed with wavy golden hair.
Author notes
This is the picture I saw riding home from work tonight, this AFTER the sun was already down... Lights from the small city I go by were hitting the underside of the clouds, making them stick out very distinctly against the evening sky.
The second stanza for this was inspired a day later, as I was baby-sitting a golf tee-off spot for a benefit for my school. I was watching the leaves fall, noticing them spinning like little wheels as they fell. The rest just came the way it did because I wanted to relate it to the first stanza.
