In Prayer, He Sighed (Rondelet)

In prayer He sighed-
His soft, unuttered groan was clear.
In prayer He sighed,
And straightway ears were opened wide!
Why dumb could speak and deaf could hear?
He always reached His Father's ear
In prayer (He SIGHED).

Author notes

Mark 7:34-35~
(34)And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, "Eph-pha-tha," that is, "Be opened."
(35)And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.

Romans 8:26~
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Thank you very much for commenting on so many of my poems- I'm glad they were a comfort to you!

I remember reading something by Amy Carmichael about praying, only I can't remember it exactly. But it said something to the effect that sometimes, when you feel like you can't pray, that you're not supposed to!- that you're just supposed to let God love you. That's kind-of a poor way of explaining the way she did- if I find it, I'll add another comment for you.

Thank you again, and I will be praying for you...

P.S. Verse for you- Isaiah 40:29

Wow... That Romans passage... I had forgotten about... for we know not what we should pray for as we ought... that would be me right now... I have SO lost my way... it feels like the life within is being slowly choked... I do hope that the Spirit is interceeding on my behalf right now... for I just can't pray at the moment... I don't know that I've been THIS low since I became a Christian...

Thank you SO very much for this... it's something I needed.

    God bless you.
