I'm Sorry I Forgot to say Thank You

’ve forgotten how much I love you.
I’ve forgotten how much you love me.
I’ve forgotten all the happy times.
I’ve forgotten all of the good memories.

I’ve forgotten all the meals you’ve made.
I’ve forgotten all the games we use to play.
I’ve forgotten all the things you taught me.
I’ve forgotten all the things you’ve done for me.

I’ve forgotten about your feelings.
I’ve forgotten about your love.
I’ve forgotten that you’re a person.
I’ve forgotten to do things just for you.

I’ve forgotten to spend time with you.
I’ve forgotten all the things you’ve bought for me.
I’ve forgotten that you have a life.
I’ve forgotten to say sorry.

I’m sorry for forgetting.
I’m sorry that I didn’t thank you.
I’m sorry for not being there.
I’m sorry for all the mean things I’ve said.

I’m sorry I didn’t listen.
I’m sorry I lost your trust.
I’m sorry that I used you.
I’m sorry that I grew up.

I’m sorry that I’m not perfect.
I’m sorry that I’ve changed.
I’m sorry for how I’ve treated you.
I’m sorry that I can’t change the past.

Through all the pain
Through all the sadness
Through all the tears you’ve been there
And I just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for always being there.
Thank you for teaching me.
Thank you for making me meals.
Thank you for comforting me.

Thank you for spending time with me.
Thank you for helping me with my homework.
Thank you for remembering.
Thank you for loving me.

Author notes

Sometimes I just don't show my mom that I love her. We get into a lot of fights, but in the end, it works out fine.

    Tim,

Heart-felt job, so much feeling and emotion. You did a great job with you feelings and it flowed great.

We all have our times where we forget to say thanks, forget to say sorry. and take advantage of our parents. its part of life's lessons in growing up. i know its not easy, on either parts for once you realize you forgotten to say thanks, you have grown up, and want to go back and change what has happened. and its never easy watching your child growing up, much less deal with them ! life has its lessons and we all have to learn them in our own way. and we all have our fights but things work out. great job, very heart-felt poem. peace to ya

Awesome, This is a realy heart felt poem, somthing I've actually said to my mom. I loved it. you did such an awesome job on this one. I loved it, the way you expressed it had a good flow, and it was extreemly heartfelt. You made the reader feel what your feeling, somthing that has shaped modern poetry.

yes, this can be for anything really, though. Birthday, mother's day, etc. Just a way to say: "I love you." And that you appreciate her.

Good write this is suposed to be about your mum's birthday did you read it properly? Also you haven't put your real name where it says your real name so I can't put this poem in sorry.
Apart from that good write keep up the good work and good luck in the contest from pebs.
    xx
