The interminable agony,
tormented in body and soul,
tortured in spirit and reason,
emotional anguish,
physical pain,
again and again and again.

Searching for solace
from the warmth of a friend,
serenity, security and shelter,
emotional shield,
physical salve,
again and again and again.

Author notes

I can't stop the pain only you can do that.  I just have a shoulder always comfy and an ear always ready to listen.

Hey Lizzy. It would be inappropriate of me to say I liked your poem so instead I'll say that it was effective in making me have an insight into your pain. On a personal note, if you were near me now, I would hug you and tell you that I'n here for you if you ever need me. My e-mail is tonyryan1948@hotmail.com and it sure would be a privilege to have contact with you about any topic you fancy speaking about. Good luck to you my friend. camus xx
