Marilyn Monroe Mega Star

MEN LEFT IN SLACK JAW WONDER
Angel innocence well hidden
Rhinestones never grace this beauty
Illusionist extraordinaire
Lived her life in glass walled mansion
Yearned so much to be truly loved
Neptials never worked in her favor

Made into model perfect actress
Offered little in return
Nervous child inside a diva divine
Remembered in her alluring beauty
Our Marilyn we will recall eternal
E
mblazed image etched in our souls

you captured the essence of who Marylin was perfectly..a woman , a child , a seductress to all, a girl, a star, a legend. Where have the REAL legends gone"like a candle in the wind"
Best wishes my friend in this contest,
    xoxoxo

This is a beautiful tribute to such a tragic figure. She had an exciting and glamorous life filled with unhappiness and exploitation. Nicely done. Good luck! ~ Sue

Marylin has become a modern day myth. She was such a beloved star, and so much speculation surrounded her death. Have you read the poem by Sharon Olds "The Death of Marylin Monroe?" Here is a link if you want to take a look at it. cai.ucdavis.edu/gender/oldspoem.html
