Respect All Life's Bounty

*There's panic in the forest glade,
blazing fire destruction man made.
Careless action of undead ember,
turning forest to inferno tender.

Home to all woodland inhabitants,
consumed by sulfur smoking lament.
Intense choking heat spreading fast,
any second might declare their last.

A deer in a panic of fire's fury making,
waiting on her fawn can be risk taking.
Bear smell and sight instincts aware,
hunger debated ,observes deer there.

Adrenal safety flight is taking mind over,
heart palpitating question, deer runs for cover?
Birds and beast of rich forest blanket deep,
die from black suet smoke, loss felt, I weep.

Loss of life in warm blooded flesh and timber,
respect cause and effect, and please remember.
Earth was here before we were blessed to grace,
and share in nature's bounty, please don't erase.

    scorchin'!

Very awesomn interpretation of picture. The first two lines open up and express your idea that man needs to respect nature, just like with hurricane Katrina. Because we are not the most powerful thing on the planet.

Well done suseann. The meter in this one is pretty tight, you did wonderful with that. After the conversation you and I had about this picture, I see you managed to pull it off. I tried but couldn't do it. You did wonderful...good luck in the contest.
