Dad

You never had to love, or give me your last name
But you took me as I was, and made who I became
You were always sure to show me what was wrong from what was right
And when I needed to defend myself, you showed me how to fight

You never had to offer me your entire world
But that's all I ever got when I became your little girl
You sacrificed your life, just to give me one
And though we had our struggles, we always had some fun

You had your ways of showing, just how much you cared
I think that's part of why, you called me Dani-Bear
I had my ways too, just like everybody knows
That's why I called you Mob Boss, Timmy Two-Toes.

Now that I'm older, it's easy to look back
To remember every tear drop, and each time we laughed.
Daddy if I could have just one wish and know it would come true
The only thing I'd ask for is a little more time with you.

Your memory creadted a beautiful poem. Your voice was vey clear and you had a deep way to speek it. Your words are truely touching, and they really drew the reader in to feel your joy, pain, and shared the memories. Well done, as always.

Oh my gosh.. This is really ..touching, engulfing and there is an essence of "Looking back" which is expressed really well.

There is also a sense of longing, and that I liked. This was written well. Good job. ^-^
