yesterdays makeup

there you stood
acting cool like a
half baked camera
dodging dilemma
to death

etched in egocentric
delicacies with
fragrant musings of
grandiose proportions

harp happy in your
illiterate lateral longings
justice lost
among the accusations
of knowledgeable men

left to rightness
dredged manmade
manacles of misery
not intended for
human consumption

your options oozed more
oil than an undersea
pipeline laid waste by katrina
queen of the damned she was

like you
regal in her
self involvement
still

there you are
under variations
woven from
yesterdays
makeup

looking cool like a
half baked camera
dodging dilemma
to death

Haha, I was always the kid who was looking for some letter in my soup to spell something important. I find in adulthood, the alphabet cereal is much easier to work with and yummy too!! This piece is a bit of a -- lets say -- tribute to my ex, who thought it wise to move on to a setting that he thought would further his ambitions. He always viewed himself the ladies man and unfortunately the relationship got a little crowded. We were married for 8 years and when my castle of vapor unraveled it was quite devastating, yet by far the best thing that ever happened to me.
