So much I can say about this wonderful Lady I call Pixie
Every day I count my blessings for the friendship we share,
Always has been from the time I came back to AP the 2nd time.
Alice was known as yes you can back then when we first met
Now we are like Sisters, she is my inspiration on here, we always
Greet each other daily, share our worries, happiness and tears.
Exceptional Lady who helps me to cope, never hesitates, always
Leaving encouraging messages when she knows I'm not well.
Perhaps I can tell you about the time she sponsored me for a contest
I never had enough points, Alice sent them to me "You can do it Joan
Xperience is what you need, jump in, I have faith in you" glad she did!
I did everything wrong! contest was closing 2012 Oh dear! Help Alice!
Everything went wrong, Maureen got 3 awards! "What did I do wrong?"
I apologized to her, ask for help, friends chided me. "Good one Joan"
Late it was my cries for help, Alice, Von, Renee said "Don't Worry!"
Oh, I'm going to bed, I'll deal with it later, Zez said he'd fix it!
Victory at last! All trophies and points awarded, everyone is happy.
Especially Alice who stayed by my side trying to calm me, Thank you.
Yes you can do anything you want as she will encourage you to do it
Our Angel of faith and courage, the healer of all, you help so many

I have told this story before, but it is how I first got to know Alice on AP. I was on earlier but gave up for awhile as I could not connect with anyone. The timing wasn't right, I almost gave up until I met Alice and my other wonderful friends in here. Von I speak of is Vonny, another Aussie, Renee is Poetryality another wonderful friend. Maureen is now my Soul/ Sister since then. I have so many Friends on here I would like to honour them all, but Joel would have too many entries. So thank you all for being my Friend.

A wonderful acrostic for a wonderful person I am sure. You certainly have done a great job on this poem, Joan. When we are new to a poetry site whether we are an accomplished poet or just a beginner, we still need some encouragement to give us a boost in the site. Not all get such a boost and those who do get it must always be grateful for that, no matter what. That is the main intention of this contest, to honour the first person who encouraged us to get settled in this wonderful site.
Win or lose, the tribute we offer is a winner in every respect.

This is a lovely tribute you have written. Yes, I too remember YesYoucan from the days long since past. She was actually the first one to root me on and encourage me to keep writing so I do know how you help. It will be an appreciation I will never forget. Dear Joan, you have a wonderful friendship with my friend Sea, who introduced me to AP a year and a half ago. While no one is perfect, Sea constantly strives to live her ideals and encourages many in word and example. Many blessings to you both, this acrostic tells it wonderfully. Good luck in the contest.

WOW! I have tears in my eyes. This makes me feel like somebody. I think you have that effect on people for it is a blessing to know you for sure. When I think of you I think of angels and your blue meditation room. Yes, like we are sisters and our parents are eternal friends in heaven. Now, every time I think of you I get a wave of excitement thinking about your trip to New Zealand on my birthday. When someone is your true friend it is a gift to see person happy and I will be rejoicing when you travel to New Zealand. Anxiously awaiting hearing about everything like two sisters who stay of late sharing adventures. Woo Hoo! I'm so excited for you. Thank You for poem. I got tears of gratitude in my eyes. P.S. I'll always remember your dad's rock cakes too.
