The m word

I almost fell over in shock this afternoon when I heard your quiet words.
You were joking about marrying me.
I guess I never thought I'd hear those words in relation to me.
Sure I've dreamed of the house, the dog, and the kids like any other woman.
But I've been single so long I thought that I always would be.
Imagine my surprise when I met you,
the love I feel for you just came and knocked me on my butt.
You changed my life all around.
You made me laugh and I know I make you smile.
I feel that your head over heels in love with me.
It is such a strange feeling to love you right back.
I've never felt this way about anyone before.
But the big m word hm-mm...now that leaves me speechless.
I wonder what I will say if you ask me some day?
