Untitled

Slender strands of time
Flutter gracefully in the wind
Passing over the sinners
Leaving their fates behind
Along with Mother Earth
And submersed in Brother Fire
While the waters of my heart
Evaporate as they're wept into our world

Her flowing hair of pine bark
Eyes of fertile soil
She once refused my touch
Yet now she reaches out to me
The small child hand
Of caramel candy
Surrounded by fire like poppies
That smell of perfect heaven.

Author notes

This poem is actually inspired by my creeping feeling of the apocolypse looming overhead. My pervious prose, was the first dream I had, where as the second stanza in this poem is simply the sequal to that dream. I strongly feel that my eyes will see armogeddon in this life, I only hope I'm not the only one who feels this way.
