Moonlight Becomes You

Missing image
Conjuring up streaks of light
swirling around the night sky
twilight befalls the heavens
God's creation is rising high

Oh harvest moon keep waxing
shine down and make me smile
loving him weighted my heart
no longer hidden or in denial

Rising into the heavenly night
stay with me until the morn
as the harvest moon disappear
the dawn of a new day is born

Shining like a beacon of light
showing the way for me to see
hanging in suspended animation
let my captured heart go free

The moon is just a doorway
leading to another endless day
as it sinks beyond the mountain
another sunrise is on the way

Wow! That's a beautiful poem. I like the layout and flow. The fourth stanza is my favourite.
