Wish for today

Just for today
I would like
to have
all power
of the world.
To rule everyone
and everything.
To set first rule
whole world
should obey:
Love each other!
Have a peace
in your mind.
Open your heart
to give
and receive
eternal love...

    Thank you

I guess you know Jesus taught this, too.
To love God first, and then me and you.
Love God, that is, and each other as well.
If we don't want to be going to hell.

    Well, I don't believe in the "hell" part myself;
But the rest I accept and put "hell" on the shelf.
Thank you much Funny Girl for your write
To me Re my poem -- a pure delight.

This is such a true poem. You watch the news and see all of the politicians that abuse the power that we have given them in hopes of them making a difference. I am like you, I'd never want to always have power, but it would be nice to have a day where no one was hurting, or dying, where everyone was happy and had all the things they needed. This is beautiful, and very heart warming. Well done.

Lovely poem, well composed. Strangely sad...that people should need be commanded to love one another. Something so simple should come naturally. Alas, I fear something has gone terribly wrong in the evolution of our species. Our hearts would dictate love, our minds cry out for peace and yet our words cut with two edges and our hands write poison to paper while our eye carefully aligns the iron sights so as to expose the form of our fellow human being from the heart up. Further strange that in a world with so many tin cans and bottles to shoot at...that we should find it so devoid of targets as to turn our agression on one another.

Well I suppose that feels better, been needing an outlet for a minor rant to purge the system... Seems there are always more questions than answers. Funny how few people are even asking. Thanks for the opportunity.

    Peace and rainbows,

    ~RJ~

Sounds like a wise fear, and a wise wish also. In just one day you can't do much harm - you don't get used to the power quickly enough. So, I like the message.
