She is my sky
I look up and see
her wisps of clouds
and drenching rains
in the morning and evening
her slanted sunlight’s
breaking rays
give order
to the wild settings
of my uncertain days,
and who remains as a guiding light
even through my darkened nights.
What does all that mean?
It means
Her tree-tipped breezes
whisper to me
and the rustling fingers
of her tall grass
remind me
of where my feet should be planted,
and I do not stray.
She is my Mother Earth,
and I do love her.

This was truly a beautiful piece once again
and you do seem to have a way of making us all a lil speechless
(a handy trait I am sure
)
'Touching' write indeed

I feel quite honored that you felt inspired to write something for me. This is quite stunning and I am actually speechless. Yeah, I know... that doesn't happen too often.
I am deeply touched by your words here. I have watched you pass through so many phases and have followed your work for many, many months and we have spent quite a bit of time chatting here and there, always keeping in touch. I cannot imagine a day logging into Allpoetry and not seeing you here. Although there were many I did and let my concern be known in regards to that as well. It's been quite a journey and it continues still. I consider myself privileged to be counted among those you care for Wayne.

How lovely the sentiments as well as the words. You can seemingly write on anything. Bless you and your wonderful AP Mom (who DOES have her hands full with you, I'm sure)

Awesome. I thoroughly enjoy poems that involve nature, and this is one of the best i've ever read. The fact that you're doing this in dedication of someone is amazing also, involving a person and nature. Awesome write... hope Touchof1der enjoys this!

This is stunningly beautiful- It reminds me of a part of the poem in 4 weddings and a funeral- not the funeral part- but the sentiment of true love expressed perfectly.
Loved it.
