Poetry just is...
Poetry is the colour of emotions;
the angriest red, most envious green,
the saddest blue, and the happiest yellow
Poetry feels like making
snow angels in your swim suit
Poetry smells crisp and clean
like the first day of spring
To taste poetry is to
combine sweet, sour, salt and hot
all into one
Poetry is nothing, poetry is everything,
poetry is everywhere

this was very different.. what i like most about this poem is that when you contrast the difference in itself it still makes sense and acctually goes together.. i like this poem, thanks for entering and good luck.

This was an amazing read, personally. Mostly because I connect so well with light and colors. Your sprint through sensory words is exciting and your view of poetry as freeform beauty is really quite inspiring. Universal and sincere. I don't want this to sound rude at all, but the poem's real strength is in it's sort of basic vocabulary which removes the focus from the literal word and moves the reader's mind to introspection and symbols.
This is really nice. I'll try the snow-angel thing some time. -

This is amazing! I havent heard of a poem about poetry yet..... or is there one? Oh well, that was awsome! Poetry really brings out how people feel, and when you write about your feelings, you feel better about them

Well dear poet, that just about covers it. Every taste and emotion the pen can paint, goes down to reflect something one said. Beautiful flow and explanation, as I beleive, also, the poetry -- just is. -

A poem about poetry. LOL This poem had me thinking about how I write, about what I write, and about poetry itself. The imagery is great! You really have a way with words. I don't know if I could ever express the meaning of something like poetry so vividly. "Poetry is nothing, poetry is everything" was my favorite part of this piece. This was a wonderful piece. For once I actually understand what someone is saying. Poetry is... the soul, sketched out on paper. I would applaud you but I'm all out for the day. Again, this was a great poem and I love every line of it.
