Mary

Mary

Holy Venus -
Virginal Concubine -

Inciting heinous, satanic yearnings
Nothing so wholly divine as 'love'.

Let cherubim and seraphim
Sing to the pathetic pawns of Lucifer
Spectres in human form.

Maternal malefactor -
True descendant of Eve -

Intrinsic to womankind
Strength enough in your felicitous ways
to subdue man, seduce the Deity
and violate the purest paragon - Paradise.

M.E.R.

I like this poem a lot, but to be honest with you I don't really understand it as much as I'd like to. I can't wait to check more of your work out soon though. Good job, Jessica.

    Arresting, perplexing

Well, I think the writing is very vivid and precise, and it comes to a great climax. However, I'm not quite sure what the Blessed Virgin Mary (or the idea of her) has done to deserve this. What is M. E. R. short for?
