I saw in you what I never thought I would.
a person who was never supposed to be revealed
security, laughter, frtiendship, understanding.
I saw in you what I always needed,
some one to make my day better
someone to ask questions yet not be too eager
someone I could relate to
I saw in you what a friendship should be,
the person I constanly talk about at school,
you've come to replace my ex
and yet it's strictly platonic between us.
I saw in you when I wasn't looking
the vast nature of your knowledge
and the emptiness in your experience.
I saw in you a form of safety.

this is the first poem I've written in a long time and I must say that it came rather suddenly.
