Peace And Love

Missing image
We are all brothers and sisters
one united family in the world
we are all children of God
every man women boy or girl

Lately there is too much sadness
too many children living in poverty
this is not what God intended
He wants us to help all humanity

Open your hearts to the frail ones
living a meager existence far away
help feed the children who are hungry
give them hope to face each day

Your voices can not be silent anymore
let them sing out loud and be heard
the time is soon for the second coming
for Salvation just listen to God's words

Look into your hearts for forgiveness
reach out to past enemies and foes
spread words of love and compassion
do not be the thorn be the beautiful rose

Today let us pray for a new beginning
remember why Christ was born on  Earth
fill all our hearts with  peace and love
accept Jesus in your heart through rebirth

Wow! I've thought of entering, but after reading this, I have no chance. This is an absolutely incredible poem. The rhyme is excellent, and it flows perfectly. Much luck to you in the contest. (Doubt you'll need it though.)

Beautiful Sandy. I have been studying and reading a lot about God's Love lately. It is even much more than I ever knew or could imagine. I am so enjoying this time I am spending in His love, and He is teaching me how to love the way He does. It's different...better than anything I have ever dreamed of, felt, touched, smelt...there is no limit.. Forgive me for rambling...this just ties into what I have been experiencing lately. May God bless you. Best wishes in the contest.

What a beautiful write Snady. And it could not come at a more perfect time. I was just watching the news and I saw the saddest thing I have seen in quite a while. With the storm in new orleans, there were so many that lost everything they had. Family, friends and all. There is no water supply, no food for the children. The army had sent in some choppers to assist these victims, and do you know what happened. Gang members tried to shoot the choppers down. So the army has given up with the relief efforts in that area. I mean, in time of need and tragedy, can we not come together, as the children of God and help one another. So what if we are different colors and cultures, should that matter? If you see a person and his children in need of food and water, could you turn your head because the father of that child bears the colors of a rival gang. It is sickening to know that there are such heartless creatures amoung us. Though the bible tells us that these people are here, it never seems that important until you see our service men and women being gunned down for trying to help families in need. I pray that all of these people could see the truth and love of God through all of the chaos. And maybe see the beauty of God's love as you so perfectly display here.
